Humulin
Humalog HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) is a mealtime insulin that offers people with diabetes convenience, control and flexibility. The unique rapid-action of HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) mimics your body's own insulin activity after meals. HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) is absorbed quickly and starts working within minutes to lower your blood sugar. Each HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) 10ml vial contains 100units/ml of lispro insulin. Other mealtime insulins, such as Regular (R), should be injected 30-45 minutes before eating. If Regular (R) insulin is taken at the wrong time, you risk poor blood sugar control and may increase the risk of low blood sugar. Unlike Regular (R) insulin, Humalog is taken within 15 minutes before or immediately after a meal. The flexible dosing schedule of HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) makes it possible for you to adjust your insulin dose right at mealtime. This means you can manage your diabetes even when you run into unexpected delays or schedule changes. With the mealtime convenience, HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) helps maintain control over blood sugar levels. Good blood sugar control reduces your risk of long-term problems associated with diabetes. HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) (insulin lispro, rDNA origin) is a human insulin analog that is rapid acting and helps to lower blood sugar levels. The vials and cartridges contain a sterile solution of HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) for use as an injection. HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) injection consists of zinc-insulin lispro crystals dissolved in a clear aqueous fluid. Each milliliter of HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) injection contains insulin lispro 100 Units, 16 mg glycerin, 1.88 mg dibasic sodium phosphate, 3.15 mg m-cresol, zinc oxide content adjusted to provide 0.0197 mg zinc ion, trace amounts of phenol, and water for injection. Insulin lispro has a pH of 7.0-7.8. Hycrochloric acid 10% and/or sodium hydroxide 10% may be added to adjust pH. HUMALOG (Lispro Insulin) should be stored in the refrigerator, but can be kept at room temperature for up to 30 days. “Prescription required for orders placed from the USA”.
